21/5/2018Following on a bit from the SDF modelling 'trick' I posted yesterday here's another way of combining 2D fields to make a (optionally distance-exact) 3D one. The field on the right is mapped partially by the field on the left.

20/5/2018Here's a small demonstration of how a 3D signed distance field can be composed of three 2D fields. Hand-typing the code gets a bit easier and storing the maps can save a lot of space and computation compared to voxels.
